ART OF NOURISHMENT
Of the many meanings that RASA carries, one relates to the six essential tastes: sweet (madhura), sour (amla), salty (lavana), pungent (katuka), bitter (tikta), and astringent (kasaya) It also refers to the sap or juice of plants, the juice of fruit, marrow, potion and elixir.
Our holistic nutritional programs provide guidance toward establishing the kind of balanced and nourishing diet and daily practices that are essential to healthy living. We believe that developing an understanding about what nourishes you is a process and has an arc, much like your life. Educating and supporting clients to develop an authentic relationship with food is one of our core principals. We weave our principals into workshops, cooking classes, seasonal cleanses, healthy kitchen assessments and holistic chef services, to educate and empower clients to make conscientious choices around with what and how they nourish themselves.
Our practice is inclusive and encompasses the exploration of Live Food practices as well as principles from Ayurvedic nutritional practices and Nourishing Wisdom Traditions (based on the work of Dr.Weston Price)
